Build confidence & performance
Self Understanding helps students soar.
This diagnosis brought a sense of relief because the assessment confirmed that one was not simply ‘stupid’…. Secondly, the diagnosis opened the door to the possibility of building a more realistic view of one’s own strengths and weaknesses, with the possible effect of bolstering self-esteem, increasing confidence, and fostering encouragement to carry on with one’s own studies.

Students were coming to the SLC because of their challenges, and many were walking away with a new awareness of their strengths. One student said that it was not until he completed the MIND Strengths questionnaire that he realized he was gifted.

At Dyslexia Foundation of Western Colorado, we understand how challenging it can be for families of neurodiverse children in rural areas to access academic support services. The lack of identification, diagnostic testing, and intervention options in our area can be frustrating, especially for those who cannot wait for extended periods or have financial constraints. However, we are proud to have partnered with Eides and NeuroLearning in 2020 to provide substantial support to our community. The reports generated after each screening offer valuable information and targeted resources for families to use. Each section of the report highlights specific strategic markers that provide invaluable feedback to anyone in the education community. These reports offer hope for a child’s education, regardless of their age, from primary school to the college level. Working with other educational professionals, we have provided a solid starting point for targeted intervention, and have tripled the number of individuals we serve within one year.
As busy professionals, we value the immediate feedback and reports from the NeuroLearning Dyslexia Screening, and each review provided by Dr. Eide has proven to be an efficient way to support our clients.

Extremely impressed with this tool!
As a professional dyslexia tutor, I appreciate having a comprehensive report that gives me a solid idea of where my students are struggling. Dr. Eide’s screening test is an exceptionally useful tool. While I know the tool was primarily developed for students who have not been formally evaluated, I have had some of my students who have had formal evaluations take it as well. I am so impressed with how the report isolates weaknesses and scores them. The support suggestions are so nicely organized and easy for parents to understand. Every parent who has seen their child’s screening result has been impressed. It gives them clarity as to why their child is struggling and is something they can bring to the IEP table. It is also easier for them to understand than the psychologist’s report. Further, It helps them understand why I use certain procedures or resources with their student.
In short, I highly recommend this app. I believe it has made me a better tutor to my students and communicator to my parents.
